Sr Director, PR & AR for Network & T-Mobile for Business

T-Mobile is the nation’s Un-carrier and after our merger with Sprint, the Un-carrier is supercharged. No longer a scrappy upstart, T-Mobile has built the nation’s biggest, fastest and most reliable 5G network and is poised to lead throughout the 5G era. We’re looking for a senior PR leader to drive network and business PR and AR with responsibility for communications around the company’s award-winning network, new technologies, innovations, 5G-focused partnerships, as well as products, services and offers for businesses of all sizes, with special focus on enterprise customers. This is a high-impact, broad role with extensive responsibility for both the strategy and execution of campaigns to shape perceptions of the Un-carrier’s network and our storytelling in a critical must-win segment.

We’re looking for a dynamic leader to lead an amazing team, with responsibility for driving the news agenda, managing media relationships and creating memorable breakthrough moments. You’ll partner extensively with business leaders, marketeers, social media mavens and other teams, including agency talent to deliver on the team’s charter. In order to stand toe-to-toe with competitors who are infinitely better resourced, this role requires bold leadership, fearlessness, creativity, and scrappiness combined with disciplined execution.

What you’ll do in your role.

Going a little deeper, we’re inviting you to:

  • Drive earned media and fame for our network and with business/public sector audiences! Leverage a strategic mix of earned, owned and paid media to drive awareness, engagement and consideration across target audiences.
  • Leverage the company’s market-leading 5G network, thought-leading execs and unprecedented network assets to create broad awareness and change perceptions across all audience.
  • Own responsibility for the entire T-Mobile for Business product and service portfolio from plans to devices to add-on services, including Internet of Things, edge computing and emerging network technologies.
  • Own the company’s emerging industry analyst relations program. Shift analyst perceptions and keep T-Mobile top of mind with this important set of influencers.
  • Ensure T-Mobile continues to set the bar for outstanding media relations, in partnership with other PR leaders.
  • Manage network and product-related issues in partnership with the crisis and reactive team.
  • Drive process improvement and coordination.
  • Serve as the last mile to bring together and align messages from across the company. This includes working across Product, Go-To-Market, and other marketing teams.
  • Lead a team of highly talented PR pros and agency teams. Grow talent and help create rich, fulfilling career paths to retain and attract top talent.
  • Partner with other PR and marketing leaders to drive the holistic T-Mobile news agenda.
  • Keep pulse on all business and network PR, and inform our T-Force and Exec Social teams to help drive the right talking points.

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • T-Mobile requires all employees in this position to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 prior to starting work. The CDC defines “fully vaccinated” as two weeks after the second dose for Pfizer and Moderna, and two weeks after the single dose of Johnson & Johnson. T-Mobile will require proof of vaccination and consider requests for exemption from this requirement during the offer phase as a reasonable accommodation for medical reasons or sincerely held religious beliefs where the accommodation would not cause T-Mobile undue hardship or pose a direct threat to the health and safety of others.
