T-Mobile is looking for a customer-obsessed, analytical, and creative Principal Systems Analyst in the T-Mobile Marketing Solutions (TMS) group within Corporate Strategy. Our team is changing the way we think about customer interactions every day and solving interesting problems around evolving our engagement on behalf of customers. TMS' mission is to develop, launch, and operate new businesses utilizing T-Mobile network data, retail, and platform assets. You will develop, implement, and monitor T-Mobile policies and Privacy guidelines for data handling and usage and ensure all TMS systems and products meet regulatory, corporate, and legal compliance. You will also conduct data audits and ensure proper data lineage, data access, documentation, etc., as well as be responsible for developing and maintaining compliance reporting to ensure TMS team members and stakeholders are able to make informed data-driven decisions.

What you'll do in your role.

  • Leverage systems, tools and techniques to improve and modernize processes. Design end-to-end processes focused on system-driven automation and enabling usability across a range of user groups.
  • Effectively communicate, provide subject matter expertise and partner with all levels of the organization. Build consensus and gain cooperation across functions to achieve project goals.
  • Create reports and digital dashboards to support compliance monitoring and interpretation.
  • Develop self-service analytics to enable users to better understand and assess impacts of key business drivers on financial results.
  • Conceptualize and design data structure and maintain data and metadata standards.

The experience you'll bring.

  • 10+ years working with systems, data, reporting and process improvement
  • 3+ years of experience in security or compliance field
  • Writing complex SQL statements and performing data discovery
  • Data Visualization using PowerBI or Tableau, or similar program
  • Data modeling in business intelligence and data warehousing
  • Project management experience
  • Exceptional attention to detail as it relates to accuracy, exception reporting and completeness
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced dynamic working environment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, ability to prioritize a large group of diverse projects simultaneously, and deliver on multiple threads of work

As with any big company, can take a while for things to get done. Lots of layers, etc. But definitely moves faster than other big companies I've worked for.

Advice to Management

Don't advance those mid- to senior mgrs who just go through the motions. Do more to keep smart, talented people on board.
