You will design, plan, execute tests for software release across multiple nodes E2E using a variety of end user customer devices to validate the platform. Quality Engineering team will drive efficiencies in the QA process and invest appropriately in process changes, better quality methodologies / strategies to test efficiently and release features with quality to customer. Technical documentation and presentation skills are required in order to convey design benefits to a wide range of audiences. Works on technical assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring judgment in resolving issues or in making recommendations. Works on assignments requiring considerable judgment and initiative. Understands implications of work and makes recommendations for solutions. Normally receives little instruction on daily work, general instructions on newly introduced assignments.
What you'll do in your role.
The System Design Engineer's role is to do planning of test case management, validate and deploy test strategies and solutions to test and release applications in T-Mobile network and systems. Specific tasks may include the development and maintenance of designs for the lab/staging network, applications, connectivity, validation plans, monitoring, automation & reporting systems using engineering tools. Applications will be tested in T-Mobile's network and will involve working with multiple stakeholders like development, product and Operations teams. Sr.Engineer will be responsible for conducting on various test flows (Functional, System, Interoperability, Load ,Stress, Security) with good debugging skills and log analysis and defect reporting. Sr.Engineer will work closely with the development, Operations and vendor groups that enhance and maintain the applications that make up the product and the underlying services that drive them.
The experience you'll bring.
- 5+ years’ experience with strong background in Wireless, telecommunication technologies like IMS, RCS, EPC, VoLTE, ViLTE and relevant protocols
- 5+ years’ experience of IP Multimedia Subsystem and Services (IMS) including Rich Communication Services (RCS), WebRTC communications
- Must and have good working knowledge of TCP/IP,SIP,RTP,DIAMETER,HTTP,WebRTC, Video Conferencing
- Experience in SDN/NFV/ ETSI architecture is desired.
- Deep technical acumen and ability to deliver demos or present technical updates
- Good working experience on Demonstrable understanding of design/implementation and test execution of any large-scale enterprise networks.
- Good working knowledge on RESTful API web services of applications in modern waterfall and/or agile SDLCs.
- 3+ years of working Experience on Load/Stress Test related to IMS Applications,
- Working experience in building and integration of monitoring tools for day-to-day validation activities
- Proficiency in documentation and troubleshooting tech toolchains (e.g. Visio, Confluence, JIRA, Rally, Wireshark, SoapUI)
- Experience with test design, test strategy, test plan and test execution of the applications
- Experience with developing and executing test cases for functional, integration performance and stress testing
- Self-motivated and ability to work well under pressure with Debugging and problem-solving skills in mobile platforms
- Must have good interpersonal skills and be able to build consensus across teams.
