The Analyst role within Revenue Assurance will be responsible for developing controls and ensuring oversight of company revenue and cost flows. Job tasks will include working with business partners to review and improve existing processes, analyzing cost and revenue data to identify discrepancies, and presenting discoveries and solutions. The role requires strong analytical skills, a process improvement mindset, and effective communication skills.

What you'll do in your role.

  • Manage and develop revenue assurance audits and controls to oversee revenue and cost flows
  • Work with business teams to review and improve existing processes
  • Extract and analyze revenue and cost data to detect leaks and opportunities to improve margins
  • Review upcoming marketing offers to determine financial risks
  • Perform post-mortem analysis of launched offers to verify implementation accuracy and validate business case assumptions and outcomes
  • Document and present audit results, analytical findings and proposed solutions
  • Foster relationships with key cross-functional partners and internal stakeholders

The experience you'll bring.

  • 0 to 3 years of experience in Revenue Assurance, Finance, or Billing
  • Understanding of Finance principles
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and SQL
  • Ability to effectively work in a team-oriented environment
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, to embrace change, and foster creativity within the organization
  • Ability to report accurately, meet tight deadlines, work on projects independently, be self-motivated and multi-task
  • Effective listening, comprehension, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Telecommunications experience
  • Understanding of data mining, analysis, forecasting and trending

Education
  • Bachelors’ Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics or Engineering

Managers (at least mine) actually listened to and advocated for their employees. Great pay. Nice perks. Good culture -- people didn't seem miserable.

Cons

As with any big company, can take a while for things to get done. Lots of layers, etc. But definitely moves faster than other big companies I've worked for.

Advice to Management

Don't advance those mid- to senior mgrs who just go through the motions. Do more to keep smart, talented people on board.
