Responsible for building, developing, and managing a team of world class software engineers, responsible for building & maintaining Care Employee Compensation System utilizing Varicent ICM platform. Ability to rapidly deliver world class software solutions to T-Mobile business customers focused on Incentive/ Sales Compensation/Performance. Work very closely with Sales Operations and Care Business partner teams working on multiple projects within the Commissions domain.

What you'll do in your role.

Technology and System
▪ Performs demand planning, resource management, for all the initiatives in Care Compensation System within Commissions domain.
▪ Demonstrates a solid understanding of capabilities driven development practices within the Sales/Incentive Compensation space.
▪ Demonstrates knowledge of industry best practices within Incentive/ Sales Compensation and Performance space, and a deep understanding of creating and managing high volume ICM environments with data originating from many source systems.
▪ Leads initiatives related to Commissions Next Generation platform focused on building a custom compensation platform utilizing technologies like Apache Spark on AWS EMR.
▪ Leads the activities related to evaluating the latest version of products like Varicent ICM – features, capabilities and responsible for creating a product road map for Care Compensation System.
▪ Collaborates with business and other IT systems downstream and upstream on aligning the Care/Sales strategies to the system capabilities ensuring the most efficient use of Varicent ICM platform.
▪ Demonstrates capability to write code/calculations on the ICM platform and deep understanding of the best practices from the perspective of system performance, scale and extensibility.
▪ Works on Varicent ICM platform, SQL Server 2012/2016 suite including SSRS, SSRS, SSAS, and T-SQL, Power BI and Cloud BI solutions.

Project Management
▪ Monitors and measures work tasks to ensure deliverables are provided on time and within budget.
Relationship and People Management
▪ Manages technical relationships with assigned vendors, including driving features and function requests for inclusion in future product releases.
▪ Effectively manages team to achieve results by providing appropriate direction, timely developmental feedback and coaching, and conducting performance reviews and conversations.
▪ Interviews and hires qualified team members, striving to improve T-Mobile bench strength and augmenting product or project teams with contract staff when required.
▪ Supports team in creating training and career development plans and ensures assignments with increasing levels of responsibility are given to staff.
▪ Provides coaching and direction to the team that drives action and enables achievement of performance and operational goals.

The experience you'll bring.

  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or in a computer programming related field.
  • 7-10 years experience in an Sales Performance/ Incentive Compensation and Sales Performance Analytics. Experience working on large scale/ big data type enterprise applications
  • 2+ years experience in managing or supervising a team of 6-8 developers or more..
  • Preferred- 5-7 years Demonstrated skills in the SPM tools like IBM ICM/ Callidus/ Xactly etc. Microsoft SQL Server 2012/2016 suite including SQL Server Relational Database Management System Proven T-SQL and MDX development skills SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS). Experience in working on large scale distributed software systems.
