Sr Paralegal - Sales and Distribution

We are looking for a senior paralegal to support our Sales and Distribution team. This senior paralegal will support our Procurement organization managing the vendor contracting process as the point of contact with Procurement, reviewing and drafting basic legal documents, including negotiations, consulting with the attorneys, and overseeing the contracting process. In addition, this senior paralegal will provide sales related support including the review of all sales training, legal support for T-Mobile’s retail sales channel’s operational needs, and project support for all sales channels initiatives. This senior paralegal will also support attorneys on assignments as needed.

What you'll do in your role.

  • Initial point of contact for Procurement contracts. Work directly with Procurement team providing guidance on contract templates. Support Procurement Attorney in review of all contract matters.
  • Efficiently and accurately draft and produce legal documents, for both procurement and distribution; may negotiate routine agreements. Provide additional contracting support for attorneys.
  • Initial point of contact for Sales Training review. Manage and review high volume of training for claims and legal risks for new products and services, new hire, and other training types.
  • Support Sales attorneys in various projects, including acting as a proxy for attorneys during project meetings, looking for risks, and providing legal requirements.
  • Perform complex legal research under attorney oversight, analyze data and present synopsis.
  • Establishing strong working relationships with internal clients and external contracting parties.
  • Provide significant coaching, guidance and training to less experienced paralegals and others.

The experience you'll bring.

  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively work with all levels of company management, internal clients, and outside counsel
  • Ability to demonstrate professional, appropriate responses in confidential situations
  • Strong organizational skills that result in consistent volume and quality of output as well as the ability to manage multiple project simultaneously
  • Ability to operate independently with limited attorney supervision in a dynamic environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Expert in Legal Software such as Lexis Nexis or TRIM, if required
  • Solid project management skills

Managers (at least mine) actually listened to and advocated for their employees. Great pay. Nice perks. Good culture -- people didn't seem miserable.

Cons

As with any big company, can take a while for things to get done. Lots of layers, etc. But definitely moves faster than other big companies I've worked for.

Advice to Management

Don't advance those mid- to senior mgrs who just go through the motions. Do more to keep smart, talented people on board.
