As Senior Product Marketing Manager Un-carrier Marketing, you will partner with our product, sales, and marketing leaders to build and manage disruptive Un-carrier moves and bring them to market. The position will be focused on identifying consumer pain points and creating Un-carrier moves to meaningfully address them.

The ideal candidate will always keep the customer first and demonstrate the ability to deal with complexity while building concepts from scratch and bringing them to life. You will also have a proven track record of successfully launching large scale initiatives and a passion for working with cross functional teams to push the status quo on behalf of consumers.

What you'll do in your role.

  • Create Innovation strategies that outline the market opportunity, customer pain points, product positioning, GTM strategy, and financial benefit of moving forward with key stakeholders including Market Research, Pricing, and Product Management.
  • Have your finger on the pulse of what is happening in the wireless industry to identify opportunities for Un-carrier moves that differentiate the brand while addressing consumer wants and needs
  • Consistently show your creativity by generating disruptive ideas to support many use cases throughout the business
  • Partners with cross-functional teams throughout the business to ensure flawless execution of Un-carrier launches in market.

The experience you'll bring.

  • 7+ years marketing experience
  • 5+ years in one or more of the following categories: software/hardware, web, telecommunications, consumer electronics, or consumer packaged goods, with a focus on Marketing, Product development or sales. Strong understanding of voice and data services and products
  • Knowledgeable about wireless industry including current programs and new technologies
  • Ability to lead large scale launches in fast paced and highly competitive industry with collaborative approach
  • Strong communications skills by presentation, written and verbal methods
  • Experience in defining and executing go-to-market strategies.
  • Knowledge of financial drivers, experience in managing return on investment objectives, ability to develop high level financial models.
  • Ability to influence, lead and coach cross functional teams and champion new concepts and ideas.
  • Bachelors Degree - Marketing, Business, Communications, or relevant field of study such as Computer Science

As with any big company, can take a while for things to get done. Lots of layers, etc. But definitely moves faster than other big companies I've worked for.

Advice to Management

Don't advance those mid- to senior mgrs who just go through the motions. Do more to keep smart, talented people on board.
