In this role you’ll be asked to share your ideas, collaborate openly with your peers, and work together to build training for 21st century learners.

As a Sr Instructional Designer, you will manage all key aspects of the instructional design process, from project scoping and planning through course deployment and evaluation. In some cases, you will facilitate the design process leading other designers, and in some cases, you will be directly responsible for project-managing the design effort. Communicating with appropriate departments among all functional areas regarding project material, subject matter, and deadlines is a requirement of the Sr. Instructional Designer Position. You will also be expected to mentor and lead other Instructional Design team members in areas of design technology and project management.

Projects
We create eLearning programs, digital and paper-based training, virtual instructor-led materials, videos and much more. We leverage the power of video and multimedia content to create bite-sized learning that comes to life through real-world application. We develop and manage learning solutions focused at all levels. As a team, we mentor and lead one another in areas of adult learning, design technology, and innovation.

Essential Functions
  • Manage multiple design projects using sound project management tools and methodologies
  • Secure content from vendors, cross-functional departments, and other parties as needed for course development
  • Review, edit and re-design existing curriculum as needed
  • Design, pilot and launch new curriculum as needed
  • Proactively introduce new training tools and concepts into the training development process. This includes interactive video and audio.
  • Proactively seek new ways to manage train the trainer rollouts, and conduct program effectiveness reviews
  • Work with subject matter experts to proactively partner to obtain feedback and validate courseware content
  • Effectively implement training solutions.
  • Establish relationships with various stakeholders to ensure timely response to training needs.
  • Work with members of the system implementation team to meet design goals efficiently, effectively, and within the specified time frame and budget while exceeding stakeholders’ expectations
  • Offer performance consulting solutions and strategies
  • Manage vendor relationships for long-term partnership

The experience you'll bring.

Minimum Required
  • 5+ years of Instructional Design experience
  • Very Good knowledge of MS PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint, and Excel is required
  • Expert Communication skills required
  • Very Good knowledge of the ADDIE process is required

  • Experience in Storyline/Articulate for e-learning design
  • Design of In-person and virtual training
  • Design of on-boarding curriculum
  • Very good knowledge of Adult Learning Principles
  • Very good knowledge of program and training evaluations process and standards
  • Very good knowledge of virtual and Instructor lead design
  • Experience with Premier Pro and Adobe After Effects
  • Video Production Experience
  • Experience with WalkMe

Education
  • Bachelors’ Degree preferred. Additional relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

As with any big company, can take a while for things to get done. Lots of layers, etc. But definitely moves faster than other big companies I've worked for.

Advice to Management

Don't advance those mid- to senior mgrs who just go through the motions. Do more to keep smart, talented people on board.
