The Sr Manager, Business Planning is responsible for all “chief of staff” back office support for the Office of the EVP, Consumer Markets. This role will support and partner with the Consumer Markets leadership team to set and facilitate strategic initiatives, proactively anticipate engagement opportunities, and recommend tactical action to improve operating models. This role will also be responsible for uncovering new opportunities that materially improve the business as well as seeking new strategies to improve the engagement of our employees and customers. In addition, the team will be responsible for managing and publishing leader communication and information to include executive level briefings, employee communications and all hands meetings, as well as external public-facing presentations and materials. This role will partner with all functions of the organization, including the Office of the CEO, Corporate Communications & Community Engagement, Investor Relations, Government Affairs, and Marketing.

  • Lead, coach and develop a highly talented team of senior professionals in the following focus areas:
    • Strategic Initiatives

    • Business Planning, Reporting & Analysis
    • Operational Excellence Efficiencies
    • Office of EVP
  • Co-lead EVP strategic initiatives with consumer and channel leadership teams from inception through post-execution
  • Manage EVP communication strategy and publication (i.e. presentations, events, communications, etc.)
  • Develop and lead EVP internal and external engagement activities

The experience you'll bring.

  • 10+ years of Business operations experience in Marketing, Sales, or Retail
  • 10+ year in Program Management experience

Desired
  • Previous experience as a Chief of Staff



Education
  • Bachelors’ Degree preferred. Additional relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of degree

Managers (at least mine) actually listened to and advocated for their employees. Great pay. Nice perks. Good culture -- people didn't seem miserable.

Cons

As with any big company, can take a while for things to get done. Lots of layers, etc. But definitely moves faster than other big companies I've worked for.

Advice to Management

Don't advance those mid- to senior mgrs who just go through the motions. Do more to keep smart, talented people on board.
